Q: How long is the apprenticeship program?
A: The program runs for a minimum of five weeks to a maximum of 12 weeks. The program includes classroom and field training.
Q: Is there an upfront fee or out-of-pocket cost to sign up?
A: We do not charge fees or out-of-pocket costs. Instead, CFI requires a two-year employment contract to be signed before starting the program. The two years start after graduation.
Q: Is this a physical job? Does it have any physical restrictions?
A: Yes. Heavy lifting is required. Students must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs.
Q: What are the hours and how much will I make?
A: Apprenticeship hours are typically Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm. Apprentices will start out with hourly pay while in class, then move to a piece rate upon graduation. On average, our apprentices earn $800.00 to $1200.00 a week for their first two years.
Q: Am I guaranteed to graduate from the class?
A: We will do everything possible to help you reach graduation.
